Join UK Safety Management as an Emergency Lighting Engineer💡
UK Safety Management is looking for a reliable, motivated and technically minded Emergency Lighting Engineer to join our growing team.
You’ll be out on the road visiting a variety of client sites, carrying out emergency lighting inspections, testing and servicing. If you enjoy working independently, driving to different sites and having a varied working day, this could be the role for you.
What Will You Do?
You’ll visit a variety of commercial and industrial client sites carrying out:
Inspection, testing and servicing of emergency lighting systems.
Work in accordance with BS 5266-1 and relevant industry standards.
Identification of faults, defects and issues.
Accurate recording of inspection and testing results.
Completion of reports and certification.
Communicating any faults or recommendations clearly to customers.
Representing UK Safety Management professionally on client sites.
Your daily schedule, routing and appointments are managed by our dedicated office team, so you can focus on carrying out your work rather than planning your own day.
What We're Looking For
Previous emergency lighting experience is desirable, but not essential. We’re happy to train the right person.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Comfortable driving and travelling between different sites.
Happy working independently and spending most of the day on the road.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Technically minded with a willingness to learn.
Confident communicating with customers.
Comfortable working across a variety of environments.
Organised and accurate with paperwork and reports.
Keen to develop a career within the electrical and fire safety industry.
Experience is a bonus — attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
